What does a staff member actually do?
As a staff member you are expected to be able to answer questions and help members of the community. The role is not just there to be bragged about but it is there to show that you are capable of the things listed below therefore showing that you are responsible.
As a Staff member you need to:
Do I need to have a vouch to become a staff member?
No, you do not need a vouch from another staff member to be able to be considered as a candidate, that is simply there so we can ask our current staff members about how you are as a person therefore making it an easier decision whether or not you should be hired or not.
How can I improve my chances of becoming a staff member?
To improve your chances of becoming a staff member you should consider the following:
What are the requirements I need to meet to become a staff member?
These are the following requirements that you have to meet for you to have a chance of becoming a member of the Saso Haven staff team:
No, staff positions are voluntary; there is no payment involved.
Can I apply if I have prior punishments?
Yes, however please take into account anyone with prior punishments which are not 30+ days old will be denied.
What do I get from being a staff member?
We understand that of course as this is voluntary it is hard to see the benefits of becoming a staff member however it is worth it! We have a great community where you are able to make friends and hang out with others. Also after being a staff member for over 3 months you are entitled to a rank in our server. We also have a Staff of The Month with them getting coin rewards and other things if they win it.
What are some of the denial codes that are used?
We use special annotations to explain the reason of your denial some of these are:
Following Rules: As a staff member you are expected to follow each and every rules on our server. Breaking even one will result in a removal as staff are meant to set an example to everyone else.
Activity: As a staff member you are expected to have enough free time to be able to dedicate to the server as if you do not you will not meet the requirements to be a staff member. Mods and Sr. Mods have different playtime requirements.
Professionalism: Each staff member needs to be professional when handling situations. There are times when professionalism can be dropped, however when handling tickets you must have the highest possible form of grammar and punctuation and limited spelling mistakes.
Self Control/Anger: As a staff member you should be able to control your anger and make sure you do not spark at a community member even when annoyed. You simply just need to remove yourself from the situation if deemed necessary so that you do not lose control over your anger.
Knowledge of the Server: Each staff member is expected to have knowledge about how the server works so they can support people who need it the most. Without any knowledge they will not be able to help people out.

The first step that you have to take to become a staff member on Saso Haven is fill out our application. In this Applications you will be asked multiple questions and you will have to provide basic information, for example your discord user (e.g alpacass) make sure that it is the correct one. We require this so we can contact you.
Some tips when filling out the application, make sure to use proper grammar and punctuation (Capital Letters, Periods, Commas). Answer each question thoroughly and make sure to write down everything you wish for us to know. Finally take your time when answering the question we are looking for quality in applications. This period will take between 1 - 14 days. This period is there for our staff recruiters to review your application and process it whether or not it is denied or not. Please wait out all of the 14 days and make sure to not ask staff about the stage of your application as this will lead to your denial. Interview Phase (After You Received Information)
If we find that your application is worthy of an interview you will be contacted by one of our staff recruiters who will arrange a time for an interview to take place in a Voice Channel. All applicants must complete an interview in order to have a chance to be hired, Note you can still be denied. In the interview you will be asked multiple questions which you must answer. After your interview a transcript will be reviewed and your results will be based upon that.
Onboarding/Training Phase (After interview)
If, after your interview we deem that you are a good candidate to join our staff team the same staff recruiter will invite you to join our team! Before you will receive your roles you will have to go through training to understand the basics of staffing on Saso Haven, only after this will you have all your roles.
